Juanita Colley Dunning, age 87, of Kuttawa, KY passed away Wednesday, October 11, 2023, at Rivers Bend Retirement Center. She was a beautician, an assistant manager at Walmart and a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Lyon County. She enjoyed quilting and traveling. She and her husband, Dale, did mission work with Campers on Mission in Florida, Texas, Mexico and Kentucky.
Survivors include one daughter, Dalena Galusha (Larry) Lynch, Eddyville, KY; one son, David Hale Dunning, Princeton, KY; two sisters, Ruby Carroll and Dorothy Barnes, both of Eddyville, KY; one brother, Walter Colley, Kuttawa, KY and several nieces and nephews.
Juanita was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Dale Dunning, her parents, Hoy and Nellie Barnes Colley and six brothers, Ragon Barnes, Gordon, Ray, Thomas, Jack and Joe Colley.
Visitation will be Sunday, October 15, 2023, from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at Lakeland Funeral Home in Eddyville. Funeral services will be Monday, October 16 at 11:00 am at the funeral home with Bro. James Noble McKinney officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Lyon County.
