Donna Marie Rose age 83, of Princeton, passed away on Thursday, October 19, 2023, at Princeton Health & Rehab Center in Princeton. Donna was born May 15, 1940, to the late John Herschel Hogan and Olive Pearl Boyd Hogan. She was a former garment worker at Princeton Hosiery and later a cook at the Princeton Senior Citizens Center. Donna was a member of New Haven General Baptist Church where she enjoyed teaching Sunday school for many years. She loved reading her bible, cooking for her family, sewing and the occasional western movie. Donna was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Helen Jewell and one brother, Johnny Hogan.
Donna is survived by one daughter, Darla Ortt (Mark) of Caldwell County; two sons, Steve Rose (Christy) of Caldwell County and Jackie Rose (Juanita) of Cleveland, TN; eight grandchildren, Kyle Rose (Deanna), Andrea Breedlove, Eli Ortt, Cody Ortt (Heather), Elizabeth Rose, Amy Rose, Nathan Rose and Katie Rose; three step-grandchildren, Drew Rogers (Macy), Meghan Bryant (Tony) and Carter Jackson; six great-grandchildren, Cayden Breedlove, Creed Breedlove, Peighton McDowell, Tanner Rose, Dylan Rose and Isla Ortt; and seven step-great-grandchildren; Hudson Rogers, Cali Jo Rogers, Peighton Lee, Brantley Bryant, Beckett Bryant, Kate Ryann Bryant and Karoline Bryant.
Visitation for Donna Marie Rose will be held on Saturday, October 21, 2023, at Morgan’s Funeral Home from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
Funeral services will be Sunday, October 22, 2023, at Morgan’s Funeral at 1:00 PM with Bro. Carl Hoover officiating.
Burial to follow at Cornerstone Cemetery in Caldwell County.
