During a brief special called meeting on Tuesday afternoon, the Board of the Caldwell County Water District authorized an engagement agreement with Kentucky Certified Operators.
Following the approval of the October 17 minutes, Board Chair Sally Hart provided a brief explanation that the engagement agreement with Kentucky Certified Operators — Jon Blaylock and Mat Blane — will remain in effect until a suitable replacement is found for the lead position at the Caldwell County Water District.

After the meeting adjourned, Hart informed Your News Edge that Blaylock is from South Hopkins, while Blane hails from Lyon County.
The engagement agreement follows the resignation of former CEO and Superintendent Jimmy Littlefield on October 13. The water board unanimously approved his resignation during a special called meeting on October 17.
