Director Nichelle Faughn of the George Coon Public Library is happy to share the news that the renovation of the upstairs will begin next month.
Faughn revealed that the library has been collaborating with a design company based in Louisville that specializes in library projects.

According to Faughn, the upcoming renovation will require the temporary relocation of books from the upstairs section to a designated area in the auditorium for easy accessibility for library patrons.
click to download audioWhile the exact count of books that will need to be moved from the upstairs section to the auditorium remains uncertain, Faughn mentioned that the library houses over 30,000 copies of various items, with a potential third of them located upstairs. However, Faughn emphasizes that the library staff has experience in relocating books from upstairs to downstairs due to previous book sales.

However, she assures that there will still be some exciting and enjoyable activities specifically catered to children.
click to download audioThe George Coon Public Library is located at 114 South Harrison Street in Princeton. The library is open Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Saturday from 9 a.m. until noon.
