Caldwell Sheriff’s Office to Mail Property Tax Bills, Introduces New Payment Option


Officials with the Caldwell County Sheriff’s office have announced property tax bills will be mailed next week and introduced a new payment alternative for property owners.
According to Melissa Peake from the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office, tax bills will be sent out on Monday, and the collection process will commence on Wednesday, November 1, when the sheriff’s office will begin accepting payments.


click to download audioIn addition, Peake wants residents to know that a new dropbox has been installed for tax collections, aiming to enhance convenience for citizens.


click to download audioShe specifies that the drop box for tax collections will be at the east side entrance of the Caldwell County Courthouse, across from The Java Table.

click to download audioIn addition to the dropbox, Weedman announced that the sheriff’s office will have extended hours on two days.


click to download audioSheriff Weedman also announced that Peake has played a crucial role in implementing a new system to enhance the efficiency of collections this year.


click to download audioFurthermore, Peake clarified that if you own property within the city limits of Princeton, your taxes will be incorporated into the tax bill you have received from the county, which is then distributed to the respective taxing districts.
