Hundreds of children took to downtown Princeton Tuesday afternoon to search for much-desired candy.
Main Street was blocked off from South Seminary Street to the intersection at Hopkinsville Street. The search for candy began for the cleverly disguised youngsters and adults alike as they made their way around the firetruck and started down the right side of the street.
When they entered the pathway they were greeted by booths set up by local businesses, clubs, churches, and individuals with many of them in full costume too. The line continued the entire length of the street with participants stopping at each booth to gather candy until they reached the end where it circuled into the City Hall parking lot and reentered Main Street.
Vickie Wright brought her grandchildren and shared they attend every year.
Matt Sholar said it’s a good thing for the kids in the community.
Melinda Holloman from Kopper & Daisy noted they participated to be a part of the community.
Anthony Russell and his family were all dressed alike and enjoying the afternoon.
Eric Dillingham said he and his family were having a blast.
The event is held each year on Halloween Day to provide the community with a safe and fun Trick-or-Treating experience.
