A local attorney has been honored with the state’s prestigious John R. Fendley Child Support Attorney of the Year award.
Caldwell County Attorney Roy Massey IV was presented the award by Child Support Commissioner, Steven P. Veno at the annual Kentucky Child Support Conference held in Lexington on Wednesday.
In an interview with WPKY’s Your News Edge on Thursday, Massey humbly expressed his appreciation for being selected for the award, attributing his success to his staff.

Caldwell County child support staff members, Laura Faughender and Taylor Swaner were in attendance at the conference, along with Roy’s wife, Tiffany Massey and their children, Miller Massey and Marlowe Massey.
Massey was appointed as Caldwell County Attorney when Bridgie Miller retired in September 2017. He served the remainder of Miller’s term and was elected to the office in November 2018. Currently, Massey is serving his second term which began January 1.
