The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office has announced two new deputies have been sworn in to serve in the court security division.
The sheriff’s office made the announcement in a Facebook post welcoming Deputy Michelle Kent, who joined the Operations Division, and Deputy Tim Brownell, who joined the Court Security Division.
Deputy Kent retired from the Kentucky State Police in 2017 and is a certified forensic interviewer.
Deputy Brownell is a combat veteran of the United States Army and the co-owner of Brownell Canine near Eddyville.
Both Deputy Kent and Deputy Brownell were sworn in by District Judge Matthew Schalk.
