James “Sonny” Lapradd, age 91, of Princeton, passed away Sunday, November 5, 2023, at Caldwell Medical Center.
Sonny was born October 16, 1932, to the late Eurie and Edna Mae Salyers Lapradd. He was the owner and operator of Plymouth Rutherford Service in Michigan and was a classic car collector. He was a member of Beulah Hill Baptist Church, Clinton Masonic Lodge #82 and Elks Lodge #115.
He is survived by his wife, Velma Stallins Orange Lapradd of Princeton; daughters, Diane (Keith) Dalkha of Michigan, and Carolann (Chris) Bar of Michigan; sons, Mike (Yvonne) Lapradd of Michigan, Andy (Kim) Lapradd of Michigan, Richard (Denice) Lapradd of Michigan, Jeffrey (Elaine) Lapradd of Michigan; several grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Edith Cavanaugh Lapradd; son, David Lapradd; and two grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, November 9, 2023 at Morgan’s Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 10, 2023, at Morgan’s Funeral Home with Rev. James McKinney officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
