Caldwell County 2023 General Election Results


In the 2023 General Election held on Tuesday, 38.36% of the total registered voters in Caldwell County cast their ballots for state offices.
This turnout was lower compared to the 47% of voters who participated in the 2022 General Election, which included local races.
In Caldwell County, the unofficial total for the governor’s race shows Republican challenger Attorney General Daniel Cameron received 60% (2,279) of the votes compared to Democratic incumbent Governor Andy Beshears 39.99 (1,519).

In the race for Secretary of State, Republican incumbent Michael Adams garnered 73.60% (2,737) of the votes in the county compared to Democratic challenger Charles “Buddy” Wheatley’s 26.40% (982).
In the Attorney General’s race, Republican Russell Coleman received 71.64% (2,672) of the votes while his Democratic opponent Pam Stevenson garnered 28.36% (1,058)
Republican incumbent Allison Ball garnered 75.15% (2,803) of the votes in Caldwell County for State Treasurer compared to 24.85% (927) received by her Democratic opponent Kimberly “Kim” Reed.

Republican candidate for State Treasurer Mark Metcalf received 70.38% (2,607) of the county’s votes compared to his Democratic opponent Michael Bowman’s 29.62% (1,097).
In the Commissioner of Agriculture race, Republican candidate Jonathan Shell garnered 74.18% (2,761) of the votes while his Democratic opponent Sierra Enlow received 25.82% (961).
This was the first General Election for Jennifer Watson-Hale, who was elected as the Caldwell County Clerk in the 2022 General Election. She replaced her mother, Toni Watson, who had served as the County Clerk for over two decades.

Overall, Hale feels the General Election in Caldwell County went smoothly.
