An Indiana woman was arrested on a warrant Wednesday afternoon after she allegedly cashed a forged check at a Princeton grocery store.
According to Assistant Police Chief Shane Allison, 37-year old Brittney Acuna, of Evansville, was taken into custody shortly after 1:30 p.m. on a Caldwell County Arrest Warrant charging her with second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument.
The charge reportedly stems from an investigation that began in December of 2022 and revealed Acuna possessed and cashed a bogus check at Food Giant for approximately $478.
Additionally, Acuna was also arrested on a Graves County Arrest Warrant charging her with theft by deception.
