A Princeton man was issued a citation Monday morning for multiple shoplifting charges.
Princeton Assistant Police Chief Shane Allison reports 29-year old Jacob Royal was charged with twelve counts of shoplifting.
He says the charges are related to a theft investigation where Royal entered Walmart twelve different times between August 8 to October 7. The investigation revealed that Royal allegedly selected merchandise in the store and then altered the barcodes to a lower value before making purchases.
According to Allison, the total amount that was reported for the twelve thefts is approximately $890.
