The Caldwell County Animal Shelter announced its Pet of the Week on WPKY Monday morning.
Jess Smith with the local animal shelter introduced Olive, a female about a year old, who has been at the shelter for about six months. She said Olive is at the age that she should be able to adapt well to any home.

Furthermore, Smith would love to see all of the dogs adopted from the shelter by Christmas.

Smith also reminded residents that when it comes to adopting a family pet it is a lifetime commitment.
