Caldwell County Fiscal Court approved two board appointments at Tuesday morning’s meeting and heard an update from the county’s EMS director.
In new business, Judge-Executive Kota Young recommended the appointments of Heath Cummins and Caitlin Young to the Caldwell County Extension District Board to serve a two-year term.
click to download audioDuring reports, Caldwell County EMS Director Mark Harrison provided magistrates with an update about an ambulance remount that was ordered by the county about a year ago with an estimated 24-month delivery time of December 2024. He explained the cost of that remount was $116,900, a savings of approximately $55,000.

Judge Young mentioned that at the next fiscal court meeting they will discuss the possibility of putting in another order for the next ambulance due to the two-year time frame. Harrison agreed.
click to download audioMagistrates also heard a report from Caldwell County Clerk Jennifer Watson-Hale about the County clerk’s offices across the state closing on December 28 in order for the state to install a new computer auto-renewal system.
