A Paducah man was arrested for meth possession and other offenses following a police response to a report about a suspicious person parked in a vehicle at some storage units in Princeton.
Assistant Police Chief Shane Allison reported that officers were dispatched to a call on Depot Street around 10:15 Monday morning. Upon arrival, they noticed a man, identified as 30-year old Austin King, slouched over the steering wheel. Officers knocked on the window to check on his well-being, and when King opened his car door, they reported noticed a clear plastic bag containing suspected methamphetamine near the driver’s seat.
Upon further investigation, officers determined that King was under the influence of intoxicants and he was taken into custody.
King was charged with DUI 2nd offense, first-degree possession of a controlled substance 2nd offense, operating on a suspended license and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was lodged in the Caldwell County Jail.
