UPDATE: KY 139 Truck Route Reopens After Princeton Structure Fire

KY 139 has reopened to traffic after it was blocked around noon on Monday due to a structure fire.

INITIAL STORY:

Caldwell County Emergency Management reports the KY 139 Truck Route through Princeton is blocked due to a response to a structure fire.

According to state transportation officials, the KY 139 Truck Route is blocked at the Maple Street/Seminary Street intersection due to a 5-inch fire hose that is across the roadway and fire equipment in place to fight the structure fire.

Emergency responders and firefighters responded to the 300 block of Maple Street around 11:45 a.m.

State officials say the estimated duration is 1 hour or approximately 1 p.m., CST.

Passenger vehicles may self-detour via KY 139. However, due to a low railroad overpass, there is no alternate route for commercial trucks.
