On Friday evening, Main Street in downtown Princeton was adorned with crowds of adults and children, all gathered to watch the exciting ‘Merry Melodies of Christmas Parade.’ The procession featured an array of decorated floats, vehicles, and various other entries displaying the holiday spirit.
Dylan McGowan, a board member of the Caldwell Chamber of Commerce, expressed his delight at the impressive attendance.
McGowan believes the decision to shift the parade from Saturday to Friday proved to be a successful move, as it attracted a large crowd.
Jenny Clark, chair of the Princeton Tourism Commission, expressed her enthusiasm for the turnout.
click to download audioThe parade kicked off with the first responders followed by the grand marshals of the parade – the World War II veterans who live in Caldwell County – who were introduced by WPKY’s Tess Cowan and George Kilgore.
During the parade, Chamber President and parade organizer Heather Riley took the opportunity to announce the winners of the float contest.
The esteemed figure from the North Pole had a special message to share with both the children and adults within the community.
