Some young Caldwell County wrestlers are bringing home a championship from the Smoky Mountain 2023 Top 100 Tournament at Rocky Top Sports World in Gatlinburg, Tenn.
The Tiger Wrestling Club girls K-2 squad claimed the team championship in its age group on Saturday.
In addition, Jayde McIntosh, a first-year wrestler, won first place in her 65-73-pound division and was named Most Outstanding Wrestler in the girls K-2 division.
The Tiger Wrestling Club team also got a first place finish from Una Ferguson at 50 pounds.
Riley Bonnell was second at 50, Claudia Ferguson took second at 59 and Freya Bruce placed second at 65-73.
