On Sunday, more than 130 tornado survivors from Dawson Springs and Princeton attended a holiday luncheon sponsored by the Catholic Parrishs of St. Paul and St. Mark, Catholic Charities and the Caldwell Long-Term Recovery Group.

Jill Giordano, Co-chair of the Caldwell Long-Term Recovery Group, told Your News Edge the initiative started with the decision to extend an invitation to the Resurrection Catholic Church in Dawson Springs to join St. Paul Catholic Church for Mass.

According to Giordano, the meal was sponsored by Catholic Charities and the Long-Term Recovery Group, with numerous volunteers from the churches lending a hand. She stated that they considered it a truly positive event.

Katie Parker of the Caldwell Long Term Recovery Group distributed resource information to tornado survivors and community members during the December 10 luncheon hosted at St. Paul Catholic Church.
