The Fredonia First Baptist Church presented Christmas in the Valley on Sunday night.
The program was held in The Hive which is the the gym owned by the church. Pastor Presley Lamm explained the program involved all ages of the church as they shared their talents for the community as well as the church members.
click to download audioThe night included the children singing and acting including a complete presentation of the 12 days of Christmas. The youth presented songs in conjunction with a scene of a family gathering. There were several individuals who sang traditional and contemporary Christmas music. There was the manger scene showing the birth of Jesus and then the First Baptist Choir presented a cantata ending with the arrival and portrayal of the adult Jesus.
Kasey Miranda has been recently named choir director at the church and shared how they decided to add the cantata to the Christmas in the Valley program.
click to download audioDuring the program before the cantata began Pastor Lamm made a surprise presentation to Miranda. He called her on stage to present her with a conductor’s baton to use while directing the choir.
