A Princeton man has been charged with distributing child pornography online.
According to Kentucky State Police, 42-year old Jarrett Wesley Collins, of Princeton, was arrested as the result of an undercover Internet Crimes Against Children investigation. Police said the investigation began after the Electronic Crime Branch discovered Collins sharing images of child sexual exploitation online.
The investigation resulted in a search warrant at a Princeton residence on Wednesday where detectives seized equipment allegedly used to facilitate the crime. The equipment was taken to the state police forensic laboratory for examination.
Collins was charged with ten counts of distribution of matter portraying a minor in a sexual performance under 12-years old and ten counts of possession of matter portraying a minor in a sexual performance under 12-years old. The charges are Class-C felonies punishable by five to ten years in prison if convicted.
Collins was lodged in the Caldwell County Jail.
The investigation is ongoing.
