Frank McGregor, Jr., 94, of Princeton

Frank Hazel McGregor, Jr., a cherished father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on December 16, 2023, in Princeton, Kentucky, at the age of 94. Born on February 10, 1929, in St. Charles, Kentucky, to his parents, Frank “Hazel” McGregor, Sr. and Anna Sue Graddy McGregor. Frank lived a life marked by creativity, craftsmanship, and a love for music.

Frank’s legacy is carried on by his loving family, including his daughter, Myra Joyce (William) Jobe of the Lewistown community; his son, Kerry G. McGregor of Florida; his sister, Jerelyn Ann (Ronnie) Beckner of Princeton; and his grandchildren, Andrew McGregor, Stephanie Leigh Bass, and Alison Joyce (James) Peters.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Terry Lynn McGregor.

For many years, Frank was the proud owner and operator of McGregor’s Jewelry, where his creative talent showed brightly. His hands were rarely still, as he was always creating something beautiful or tinkering with a new project. Frank’s passion for music was evident to all who knew him; he was a self-taught musician who could play the guitar, banjo, and fiddle with remarkable skill, often delighting in the sounds of bluegrass music.

Those who knew Frank would describe him as handy, interesting, and incredibly creative. He had a knack for making the ordinary extraordinary and brought joy to those around him with his unique talents and engaging personality.

Visitation will be held Monday, December 18, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Morgan’s Funeral Home.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, December 18, 2023, at Creekmur Cemetery with Rev. Bobby Noel officiating.
