Fredonia Man Charged With DUI After Lyon County Crash

A Fredonia man was charged with a DUI after a wreck in Lyon County Friday afternoon.

According to Sheriff Brent White, an investigation revealed 23-year old Michael King-Basey was driving an SUV northbound on US 641 North when he lost control of his vehicle near Coleman-Doles Road, causing the SUV to run off the road and overturn multiple times.

King-Basey was taken into custody and charged with DUI 1st offense aggravated circumstances, failure to produce an insurance card, and no/expired registration plates. He was lodged in the Crittenden County Jail.

The Lyon County Ambulance Service and Eddyville Fire Department assisted the sheriff’s office on the scene.
