Woman Charged With Meth Possession In Lyon County

A Missouri woman was arrested for meth possession and other charges after a suspicious person complaint in Lyon County Christmas morning.

Around 3:15 a.m., Sheriff Brent White was sent to the call of a person acting bizarrely and standing in traffic, who appeared to be under the influence of some substance, on Days Inn Drive in Kuttawa.

Sheriff White said he located 48-year old Dena Baker of Nevada in the parking lot of the Huck’s Travel Center under the influence and being disorderly in public. Initially, he stated that Baker resisted arrest but was taken into custody with further incident.

Baker was charged with second-degree disorderly conduct, public intoxication – controlled substance, resisting arrest, and possession of meth and drug paraphernalia. She was lodged in the Crittenden County Detention Center.
