James Eldred “Jim” Pool, age 81, of Eddyville, KY passed away Wednesday, January 3, 2024, at Princeton Nursing & Rehab. He was a self-employed fisherman. Jim was a member of Eddyville First Baptist Church and the National Wild Turkey Federation.
Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Darlene Travis Pool, Eddyville, KY; four daughters, Megan (Tom) Radivonyk, Eddyville, KY, Robin Palmer, Paducah, KY, Carol (Bobby) Dorroh, RuthAnne “Cissy” (Billy) Baker, both of Princeton, KY; one son, James “Buddy” (Denise) Pool, Princeton, KY; one sister, Peggy (Mike) Hubbard, Princeton, KY; nine grandchildren, Brandon Ray, Zach Radivonyk, Jackson Palmer, Sara (Chris) Scott, LeAnne (Bobby) Orange, Brittany Hamm, Will (Tiffany) Dorroh, Hilary (Andrew) Smith, Cameron Baker; eleven great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, James Ellis Pool and Ruth Florence Pruitt Jones and two sisters, Katherine Oliver and Becky Slaton.
Visitation will be at Lakeland Funeral Home on Saturday, January 13, 2024, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm and on Sunday, January 14, 2024, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm. Funeral services will be on Sunday, January 14, 2024, at 3:00 pm with Bro. Justin Wesson, Ron Lappin and Elmer Gibson officiating. Private burial will be at a later date at Chestnut Oak Cemetery in Lyon County.
