Daisy Mitchell Rogers, a beacon of love and gentleness, passed away on January 5, 2024, at the age of 84, at Rivers Bend Retirement Community in Kuttawa, KY. Born on June 14, 1939, in Trigg County, KY, to the late Louis and Beulah Burnham Mitchell, she dedicated her life to nurturing not only her beloved family but also the many students she encountered as a Cafeteria Supervisor at Caldwell County Middle School.
A lifelong member of White Sulphur Baptist Church in Caldwell County, Daisy’s faith was as vibrant as the flowers she adored. Her love for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren was boundless, and they, along with her entire family, were the cornerstone of her existence. Her gentle spirit will be greatly missed by all, along with her famous rice crispie treats.
Daisy leaves behind two sons, Kyle (Jessica) Rogers of Princeton, Kevin (Kathy) Rogers of Fredonia; one brother, Eddie (Linda) Mitchell of Princeton; nine grandchildren, Kylee (Perry) Greer, Maghan (Tony) Bryant, Mitch (Bree) Rogers, Drew (Macy) Rogers, Preston Rogers, Ethan Rogers, Donovan Rogers, Kaitlin (Austin) Eskew, Dustin Rollins; twelve great-grandchildren and one on the way; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Daisy is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Donald Cash Rogers; two brothers, Amos Mitchell and William Mitchell.
Visitation for Daisy Rogers will be held on Wednesday, January 10, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Morgan’s Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 11, 2024 at 1:00 PM at White Sulphur Baptist Church in Caldwell County. Burial will follow in White Sulphur Church Cemetery.
