Fiscal Court Accepts Bids For Road Department Uniforms And Ambulance

Caldwell County Fiscal Court accepted bids for a used ambulance and uniforms for the county road department during Tuesday morning’s meeting.

Magistrates unanimously approved Judge-Executive Kota Young’s recommendation to accept the highest bid of $5,526 from Pete Copeland for a 1991 ambulance.

In other new business, Judge Young recommended that magistrates approve the low bid received from Aramark Uniforms for the County Road Department.

District 2 Magistrate Jeff Boone highlighted that the approval of the bid would assist the county road department in enhancing compliance.

click to download audioIn other action, magistrates approved the estimated fee budget for the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office and the annual order setting maximum salaries for the 2024 Calendar Year, totaling approximately $554,200.

During the meeting, the Fiscal Court was also presented with information from the Princeton-Caldwell County Airport Board and received an update regarding the Caldwell County Animal Shelter.
