Karen Eunice McDaniel, beloved mother, sister, grandmother, and friend, passed away on January 12, 2024, at her residence. She was born on July 23, 1950, in Wayne County, MI. Karen lived a life filled with love and devotion to her family and friends.
Karen worked a short time as a CNA at a nursing home, where she touched the lives of many patients. Her caring nature and selfless service brought comfort and joy to those under her care. Karen’s commitment to helping others reflected her compassionate and empathetic spirit. She also was a member of Calvary Baptist Church of Princeton.
Karen dedicated most of her life to taking care of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a proud mother who cherished her children immensely. She took great joy in witnessing their growth and accomplishments. Her proudest accomplishment was undoubtedly her family. Karen’s love for them knew no bounds, and she constantly strived to create a nurturing and supportive environment for each of them.
In addition to being a devoted mother, Karen had an affinity for gardening and had a deep appreciation for flowers. Tending to her garden brought her immense joy as she watched vibrant blooms blossom under her care. This passion reflected Karen’s nurturing personality and her ability to find beauty in the simplest things.
Karen will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved her. She is survived by her son Mike McDaniel (Carrie) of Paducah and daughter Kelly Coleman (Justin) of Princeton. Her siblings include Billy Waynick of Princeton, Eddie Waynick (Sandy) of Clarksville TN, Dewayne Waynick (Chris) of MI and Gearld Waynick of Paris, TN. Her grandchildren include Dustin McDaniel (Hannah) of Calvert City, Devin Kilgore of Princeton, Christion Coleman of Princeton, Justus Coleman of Princeton, Lily Coleman of Princeton, Jennifer Myer (David) of Godfrey, IL, Abby Jones (Wesley) of Centralia, IL, Ryan Eubanks of Paducah, and KaLee Woolsey (Corey) of Princeton. Karen was blessed with eleven great-grandchildren who brought immeasurable joy to her life. She also held a special place in her heart for her grandson Dakota McDaniel.
Karen was preceded in death by her husband Sidney McDaniel, her brother Steve, sister Sharon and grandson Dakota McDaniel.
A visitation will be held on January 14, 2024, from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Goodman Funeral Home located at 1032 West Main St, Princeton, KY, 42445. Visitation will also be on January 15, 2024, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at the same location. The funeral service will follow from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at Goodman Funeral Home.
Karen Eunice McDaniel’s departure leaves a void in the lives of all who knew her. Her loving spirit, kind heart, and unwavering devotion to her family and friends will forever be cherished. May her memory serve as a reminder of the importance of love, compassion, and selflessness in our own lives.
