Thanks to an abundance of sunshine and the hard work of road crews, officials are seeing some improvements on Tuesday.
According to Princeton Public Works Director David Sullenger, the sun has played a crucial role in assisting crews in clearing snow from city streets this afternoon. He’s optimistic that Wednesday will bring even better conditions.

click to download audioCaldwell County Road Department Supervisor David Waldrum says county crews have been out running their normal routes since this morning and he’s optimistic they will see a significant improvement on Wednesday.
click to download audioSheriff Brent White reports that the roads and highways in Lyon County have greatly benefited from the afternoon sunshine. As a result, many of the primary routes have significantly improved compared to their condition this morning.
click to download audioSheriff White says Interstate 24, Interstate 69, US 62, and US 641 are in pretty good shape with a lot of the secondary roads still snow-covered. He mentioned they are seeing a lot more asphalt than they did earlier today. He also reminds drivers to continue to drive slowly, leave yourself plenty of time to get to your destination, and buckle up.
Driver will need to use caution traveling overnight as the temperature starts to fall and will cause any wet spots on the roads to refreeze.
