The coordinators of HOPE and COPE Family Resource Centers in the Caldwell County School District would like to remind the community about the food pantry that is accessible to all county residents.
HOPE coordinator for the primary and elementary schools, Stephanie Randall says the food pantry located at the back of the elementary school is easily accessible. However, she says Caldwell County residents need to schedule an appointment.

click to download audioRandall explains that the school district was chosen for this pilot program in collaboration with Feeding America Kentucky’s Heartland this year. She’s hopeful the program will continue in the future.
Furthermore, Randall mentions that the backpack program is still in place, allowing students from all four schools in the district to collect essential items for the weekend.

click to download audioIn addition, they mentioned that residents can contact Christ Tabernacle’s Food Pantry to schedule an appointment, as they are no longer providing a mass food distribution and have moved to the old Times-Leader building on Washington Street, behind the Butler building.
