A teenager was transported to a local hospital after a single-vehicle wreck in Caldwell County Sunday night.
Sheriff Don Weedman says Deputies Stacey Blackburn and Anthony Brown were sent to the wreck on KY 672 around 8 pm.
He says an investigation revealed 18-year old Kaden Martin, of Madisonville, was southbound on KY 672, which was snow-covered and slick, when he lost control of a pickup truck and went through a signpost before hitting and stopping against several trees.
Deputies said a teenage girl who was a passenger was transported by ambulance to Caldwell Medical Center. Another teen passenger was not injured and deputies said Martin refused transport.
The sheriff’s office is continuing to investigate the wreck.
Deputies were assisted on the scene by Caldwell County EMS.
