In a report to the Caldwell County school board last week, Facilities and Transportation Director Dustin Cash shared some good news regarding the transportation department, as well as the greenhouse and athletic facilities.
According to Cash, they currently have some bus drivers who are undergoing training.

Additionally, Cash provided updates on the progress of the greenhouse and primary HVAC project.
click to download audioCash expressed his excitement about the cheerleaders utilizing the athletic facility and informed the board that further work would be carried out this week to ensure its readiness for teams to start using the facility.
click to download audioWhen questioned about the status of the electric bus chargers, Cash explained that they are still awaiting a part to make them operational which should arrive in a couple of months. Furthermore, he mentioned that the school district has not received the electric buses.
The school board voted in November 2022 to purchase six electric buses after being awarded a grant of over $2.37 million from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.
