Anthony Wayne “Tony” Hale, Jr., aged 58, of Princeton, KY, passed away on January 28, 2024, in Evansville, IN. Born on November 23, 1965, in Princeton, he was a man of great faith and thoughtfulness, whose presence enriched the lives of those around him.
Tony is survived by his loving wife of 13 years, Nancy Hale of Princeton; his cherished children: daughter, Edith (Tevin) Gray, son, Anthony D. (Catherine) Hale, bonus daughters, Crystal (Jeff) Donoho and Jen (fiancé, Bryan Fusilier) Talbott, as well as bonus sons, Joshua Slininger and Brian (Amy) Slininger. He was a proud uncle to several nieces and nephews and a devoted brother to Dwight Hale and Dwayne (Tina) Hale. Tony’s legacy will live on through his 17 adored grandchildren and the numerous aunts and uncles who held him dear.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Anthony, Sr. and Patricia McPherson Hale.
A proud graduate of Caldwell County High School in 1984, Tony dedicated 12 years of service to the Kentucky State Penitentiary and another 10 years to Federal Corrections. His commitment to his country was unwavering, as he served in the active duty Navy from 1986 to 1989 and continued his service in the Naval Reserve until 1994.
Tony’s passion for the outdoors was evident in his love for hunting, fishing, and camping. He was a devoted member of the Jesus Christ Church of Latter Day Saints in Princeton, where he practiced his faith with his community while his health allowed.
Visitation will be held from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm Thursday, February 1, 2024, at The Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints in Princeton.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday, February 1, 2024, at The Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints in Princeton with Bro. Hanson officiating. Burial will follow at Baker Cemetery in Caldwell County.
