Wilma J. Russell, age 79 of Kuttawa, died at 7:55 am Tuesday, January 30, 2024 at Riversbend Retirement Community in Kuttawa. She was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church in Kuttawa and had been the Secretary for the Lyon County Water District and had been in business with her husband at Russcon Construction for years.
She was preceded in death in 2017 by her husband Malcolm D. Russell, two brothers Ules Hayden Bridges, and Johnny W. Bridges, and two sisters Geneve Bridges and Lou Etta Doom. Wilma’s parents were John Hayden and Geneva Holt Bridges.
Survivors include three sisters Sue Travis of Kuttawa, Dee Lee Durham and husband Terry of Kuttawa, B. B. Mestan and husband Sean of Princeton, and several Nieces, Nephews, Great Nieces and Great Nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Friday, February 2, 2024, at Dunn’s Funeral Home in Eddyville with Rev. Matt Grimes officiating and burial will follow in Kuttawa Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, February 2 from 11:00 until 1:00 pm at Dunn’s.
