A new Safe Haven Baby Box at the Hopkinsville Fire Department will be blessed on Monday.
Angie Crawford with Alpha Pregnancy Care Center said the project has been ongoing since last summer.
Crawford added that $16,000 was raised for the project.
She shared what occurs when a baby is placed in the box.
Crawford reminded mothers in distress that the Safe Haven law allows babies less than 30 days of age to be dropped off at fire departments or hospitals.
The blessing will be held Monday morning, February 12, at 11:00 at the Hopkinsville Fire Department at 112 Phillip Meacham Way.
