An Eddyville teen working on a project at Barkley Dam was taken to a Paducah hospital after a UTV rollover collision in Lyon County last week.
According to Sheriff Brent White, deputies responded to the collision around 7:10 Tuesday morning at Barkley Dam.
He says an investigation revealed 18-year old Collin Calhoun was driving a UTV eastbound on Warehouse Road when the windshield became frozen with condensation, limiting his visibility. The UTV reportedly ran off the shoulder of the road and Calhoun overcorrected, causing the UTV to run off the opposite side of the road and overturn down an embankment.
Sheriff White says Calhoun was an emyee of a contractor working on a hydro project at Barkley Dam. He indicates Calhoun suffered severe injuries to his upper body and was transported to a hospital in Paducah for treatment.
