Local Knights of Columbus Launch Annual Fundraiser to Support Community Charities

The local Knights of Columbus kicked off its annual fish fries on Friday to raise funds that go back into the community to charity organizations.

According to George Barber, the fish fries can be attributed to one of the founding members of the local Knights of Columbus council.

click to download audioBarber indicates they will prepare more than a hundred meals a week during the fundraiser.

click to download audioThere are two options of meals available: fish and shrimp.

click to download audioPayments for the meals can be made in cash or by check. Additionally, Barber mentioned that there is no need for individuals to leave their vehicles as someone will come out to take your order and bring it out to you.

As previously reported by WPKYs News Edge, during the 5th Friday of the fish fries, all proceeds will be directed towards supporting The Kings Kitchen of Caldwell County.

click to download audioThe fish fries in Princeton are being held the next four Fridays from 3:30 pm until 5:30 pm at St. Paul Catholic Church located at 813 South Jefferson Street. On the 6th Friday the Knights of Columbus will be in Dawson Springs selling fish and shrimp meals to raise funds for their food kitchen.

The Knights of Columbus is a global Catholic fraternal service order founded in March 1882. Membership is limited to practicing Catholic men.
