A Princeton man was arrested on a warrant for meth possession after a traffic stop Monday afternoon.
Princeton Assistant Police Chief Shane Allison reports officers conducted a traffic stop on Dawson Road on a vehicle being driven by 33-year old Jeffrey Childress, Jr. who was known to have a suspended operator’s license. He says a record check confirmed that his driver’s license was suspended and that Childress had an active Caldwell County Arrest Warrant.
Childress was taken into custody and charged with operating on a suspended license and possession of meth 2nd offense on the arrest warrant. According to Allision, the charge stems from an investigation on December 26, where Childress was at work at Porter Road and he dropped a plastic baggie on the floor that was suspected to be methamphetamine.
