A Princeton man is facing multiple drug charges after a traffic stop on West Washington Street early Friday morning.

Assistant Police Chief Shane Allison reports that shortly after 4:00 am officers stopped 28-year old Scotty Brown for having an expired registration plate. When officers made contact with Brown, they reportedly smelled a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle and saw an open bottle of vodka in the passenger seat.

During the investigation, police said they found Brown was driving on a suspended license and in possession of marijuana, methamphetamine, and drug paraphernalia.

Brown was charged with expired plates, operating on a suspended license, possession of an open alcohol beverage container in a motor vehicle, and possession of marijuana, meth, and drug paraphernalia. He was lodged in the Caldwell County Jail.
