The Caldwell County school board received an update on the newly installed vape detectors in the middle and high schools during last week’s meeting.
After addressing agenda items, board member Stacy Brantley inquired about the effectiveness of the vape detectors. High school principal Daniel Kukahiko reported that the detectors have been in place for approximately a month, with over a dozen notifications per week during the initial weeks after installation.
