Connie Jo Major, of Caldwell County, Kentucky, left this world on March 2, 2024, at the age of 71 at Murray Calloway County Hospital in Murray.
Born on April 15, 1952, in Hopkins County, Connie’s caring spirit touched many throughout her life. For over 25 years, Connie worked as a telephone operator for BellSouth Telecommunications, a job that suited her sociable and helpful personality perfectly. Even after retirement, she continued to share with those in her community through her membership with the Blue Spring Baptist Church and her frequent visits to the local florist.
Connie is survived by her daughter, April Cadwell (Kenneth Chartrand) of Red Bud, Illinois; two sisters, Cathy Wallace and Janie Phelps (Bobby); one brother, Marvin Eli, all of Dawson Springs; three grandchildren, Landen Harris (Haley) of Hopkinsville, Gavin Major and Leland Major, both of Red Bud, Illinois.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Edward Major; and her parents, Marvin and Georgia Geneva Eli.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 6, 2024, at Morgan’s Funeral Home in Princeton with Bro. Ronnie Sivells officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Spring Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until service time on Wednesday, March 6, 2024, at Morgan’s Funeral Home.
