Eva Cranor, 95, of Princeton

Eva J. Cranor, passed away peacefully on March 5, 2024, at the age of 95, in her lifelong home of Caldwell County, KY.

Born on March 15, 1928, to the late Hardin, Sr. and Bessie Milton Cummings. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Princeton.

Eva worked for 30 years at Princeton Hosiery Mills. Later she went on to dedicate over 20 years to Walmart as an associate in the fabric department and a door greeter. While at Walmart, she received a certificate for perfect attendance. Eva took pride in her home, she enjoyed sewing, cleaning and maintaining a perfect lawn. Her greatest love of all was for her family, especially her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, who adoringly called her “Nanny”.

She is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Betty Jo (Gerald) Veal of Princeton; brother, Robert (Annette) Cummings of Dawson Springs; her grandchildren, Brian (Mary Ryan) Martin, Chad Veal, Kari Beth Rager, and Abby (Chance) Oliver; seven great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Eva was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Rufus “Doc” Cranor; her infant son, Wayne Cranor; daughter, Linda Rager; siblings, Lucille Stewart, Barnie Oldham, Margaret Cummings, Shirley Haile Barbara Metcalfe, Juanita Cranor, Texil Cummings, R.B. Cummings, Harold Cummings and Hardin Cummings, Jr.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm Thursday, March 7, 2024, at Morgan’s Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Friday, March 7, 2024, at Morgan’s Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Ausenbaugh Cemetery in Caldwell County.
