William Allen Haney, known by many as “Bud” or “Bill,” of Moulton, Alabama, passed away on March 1, 2024, at the age of 77 at Caldwell Medical Center in Princeton, Kentucky.
Bill was born on January 4, 1947 in Miami, Florida to his late parents, William and Edna Riggs Haney. He was a contractor with a long tenure in construction after serving as a veteran in the United States Army and was of the Christian faith.
He is survived by four daughters, Tonya Haney, Ann Haney Williams, both of Wilkesboro, North Carolina, Angel Clonch of Clinton, Illinois, Amanda Williams of Winston-Salem, North Carolina; one son, Shannon Haney of Raleigh, North Carolina; two sisters, Linda Hanner of Asheville, North Carolina, Julia Brinson of Virginia; two brothers, Gary Haney of North Wilkesboro, North Carolina, Ken Haney of Elkin, North Carolina; ten grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his two sisters, Alice Hayes and Virginia Cole.
