Two Lyon County juveniles are facing felony charges after they allegedly used a stolen credit card to make several purchases of merchandise.
Sheriff Brent White says that shortly after 1:00 on Monday, March 4, he received a report of an elderly female’s stolen credit card from Crittenden County being used in multiple fraudulent transactions that occurred at various businesses in Lyon County beginning in January and continuing through March.
According to Sheriff White, the investigation led to the arrest of a 13-year old boy who was found at a Kuttawa business around 6:00 that same day when he tried to use the stolen credit card again to purchase merchandise. He was detained and Sheriff White says he found the stolen credit card in the juvenile’s hand in the parking lot.
The juvenile was charged with one count of complicity to commit fraudulent use of a credit card over $1,000 but under $10,000.
The next day, a second juvenile, a 14-year old boy from Kuttawa, was also charged with complicity to commit fraudulent use of a credit card over $1,000 but under $10,000.
The two juveniles are accused of making over $2,300 in unauthorized transactions with the victim’s stolen credit card.
