Drivers need to be aware that the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans to close a section of KY 373 in Lyon County on Wednesday.
According to state transportation officials, KY 373 will be closed between Dyer Road and Glen Chapel Road to replace a cross drain.
The road at the work site will close promptly at 8:30 Wednesday morning. Officials expect the road to reopen to traffic around 1:00 Wednesday afternoon. A work zone at the site will be in place with one-lane traffic on Wednesday afternoon and Thursday to allow placement of riprap and other shoulder finish work at this location.
Motorists should be alert for rough pavement signage as the excavation will be allowed to settle before a permanent asphalt cap is added.
