The Caldwell County Grand Jury returned several indictments from its March session, including charges of meth possession and terroristic threatening.
Scottie Hollowell, of Princeton, was indicted on charges of possession of a handgun by a convicted felony, terroristic threatening, disorderly conduct, and resisting arrest. On December 7, Princeton Police responded to Trice-Hughes after Hollowell allegedly threatened to shoot another man and resisted arrest when officers tried to take him into custody. Police obtained a search warrant for the vehicle that Hollowell was driving when he arrived at Trice-Hughes and seized a handgun.
A true bill was returned on Mega Mayo, of Powder Springs, Georgia, on a charge of receiving stolen property $10,000 or more. The charge stems from January 21st when Princeton Police responded to a call about a suspicious person at Blue Springs Market on KY 139 South and found Mayo standing by a vehicle with the door open. Police said an investigation determined the vehicle was reported stolen out of Tennessee.
Aaron McKinney, of Princeton, was indicted on a single count of possession of a controlled substance in connection to a drug investigation on October 9 in which McKinney was arrested on an outstanding bench warrant and was found in possession of a pipe. Princeton Police reported the pipe was sent to the Kentucky State Police Laboratory to identify the substance inside the pipe, which was confirmed it was meth.
In two separate indictments, Devin Russell, of Fredonia, is facing charges of possession of a controlled substance firearm enhanced and possession of drug paraphernalia. The indictment alleges that on June 15, 2023, Russell had methamphetamine and a firearm, along with drug paraphernalia.
According to the second indictment, Russell was charged with possession of a controlled substance for possessing meth on June 19.
A true bill was returned on Brittney Acuna, of Evansville, Indiana, on a charge of criminal possession of a forged instrument. The charge stems from an investigation by Princeton Police that began in December 2022 and revealed that Acuna possessed and cashed a bogus check at Food Giant for approximately $478.
Bobby Kittinger, of Madisonville, was indicted on one count of theft by unlawful taking under $500 from an incident on November 20. The grand jury remanded a felony charge of burglary in the third degree, which was returned a misdemeanor indictment, to Caldwell District Court.
