This Friday, the Knights of Columbus fish fry will be dedicated to raising funds for The King’s Kitchen of Caldwell County.
George Barber, a member of the Catholic fraternity, announced that they will be selling fish and shrimp dinners starting at 3:30 PM on Friday until they run out of food or there are no more cars in line. He mentioned that all proceeds from this Friday’s fish fry will benefit Kings Kitchen.
LeeAnn Gilkey and Shelia Meeks from Kings Kitchen express an urgent need for funds to support feeding children in our community this year.
click to download audioGilkey reported that it cost them $33,000 last year, and currently, they have raised $14,000.
Barber’s goal for the fish fry on Friday is to raise a minimum of $2,000.

click to download audioThe “to-go” plates of fish and shrimp consist of two pieces of fish or eight butterfly shrimp, hush puppies, white beans, coleslaw, and fries for $12. The plates can be picked up by drive-thru only behind St. Paul’s Catholic Church at 813 South Jefferson Street in Princeton and follow the signs. Donations are also welcomed.
