Princeton Man Charged with Reckless Driving and Endangering a Police Officer

A Princeton man is facing charges of reckless driving and endangering a police officer after law enforcement reportedly tried to stop him for speeding in Caldwell County on Saturday.

According to Sheriff Don Weedman, Deputy Ashley Copeland was on patrol when he observed a pickup truck traveling at a high rate of speed on KY 91 North. When the deputy turned on his emergency lights, the driver of the vehicle later identified as 23-year old Blake Ledford, accelerated. Deputy Copeland pursued the vehicle which turned into a driveway on Marion Road.

Upon further investigation, Ledford was taken into custody and charged with speeding 22 mph over the limit in a school zone, reckless driving and second-degree wanton endangerment of a police officer. He was lodged in the Caldwell County Jail.
