Caldwell County Clerk Jennifer Hale shared an update on the recently installed KAVIS system and addressed an issue that arose regarding farm plates.
Hale informed the fiscal court Tuesday morning that the issue with the farm plate registrations has to do with the weight limit capacity.

click to download audioHale stated that they are still processing renewals for farm tags and she remains optimistic that this issue will not pose any difficulties for those with farm plates.
click to download audioCaldwell County Sheriff Don Weedman added there wouldn’t be an issue unless with his office as long as the farm tags are not expired.
click to download audioHale reiterated that they are in the process of renewing the farm tags, but she wants to make sure that everyone is informed about the issue.
click to download audioShe mentioned that, as far as she knows, the state has not issued an executive order with a grace period to resolve the issue. She also noted that she has heard that the Kentucky County Clerks Association is working on obtaining a solution through the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, and she is optimistic that they will soon have a resolution for this matter.
