City Council Receives Updates from Committees and Departments

During committee and department reports at the Princeton City Council meeting Monday night, the council heard updates from Public Works and Princeton Water & Wastewater. 

Public Works Director David Sullenger said the Spring Drop-off event held last month went well.

click to download audioCouncilwoman Pat George provided an update from the Princeton Water Commission. She said the Princeton sewer line project is waiting for approval from the Division of Water and getting right-of-way easements on the property that will be affected.

Additionally, George reported there were only a few lead service lines that were found last month, which have been replaced.

click to download audioShe also provided an update regarding the meter project, with less than 100 meters to be replaced.

click to download audioFurthermore, George stated that the semi-annual flushing will take place on April 17-18, and the Division of Water gave its annual inspection and found no violations of the Princeton Water and Wastewater.

In other updates, Councilman Jim Joiner, a member of the Princeton-Caldwell County Airport Board and Princeton Electric Plant Board,  noted that the Spectrum change out for Charter Communications has begun.
